On the 5th March 2024 the Reeds Social Committee organised an International Women’s Day morning tea for all staff across our Melbourne CBD and Hallam offices. The IWD theme this year is to "Forge a more inclusive world for women. Collectively, we can all hashtag#inspireinclusion".
At the morning tea Robin McDowell gave an impassioned speech of her early days working in the survey industry which provided us all with a valuable insight into how workplaces have (or in some cases haven’t) changed since International Women’s Day was first established in 1921.
While celebrating the women at Reeds and the other women in the Reeds team member’s lives, Reeds also took the opportunity to raise money for the Heart Foundation, which Marc Centofanti has first-hand experience. Marc provided the team with helpful awareness on the risk factors of heart disease and that it can affect anyone at any time. The Reeds team and Management managed to raise $400 for the Heart foundation which was a great outcome.
